Congratulations to a great team and a great project!
CHPS, Collaborative for High Performance Schools, notified Robert Tremblay, Superintendent of Weston Public Schools in a letter dated August 9, 2016 that CHPS recognizes that Field Elementary School has been verified as a high performance school and has earned CHPS Verified Leader status. CHPS Verified Leader is CHPS highest level of recognition for high performance schools.
Field Elementary School achieved the necessary prerequisites, categorical minimums and credits to be recognized as a MA-CHPS Verified Leader School. The project earned 64 points under the 2009 MA-CHPS Criteria.
The MA-CHPS Criteria was developed to improve the education and health of the state's school children. Compliance with these benchmarks ensures that schoolchildren learn in healthy, comfortable spaces that minimize impact on the environment. High performance schools can deliver many benefits to school occupants and owners, such as improved occupant health, increased student performance, decreased operating costs, and energy savings.
CHPS welcomes Field Elementary School to a distinguished rank of educational facilities who are leading the movement to build a new generation of healthy, high performance, green schools and thanks the School for joining CHPS in its mission to make every school an ideal place to learn.
