Charlton College of Business Expansion at UMASS Dartmouth CampusCategory: Company Updates
On November 3, 2015, the Charlton College of Business Expansion project at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth campus reached a major milestone with the Steel topping off. The project, which is a 20,500 GSF three-story horizontal addition to the existing Charlton College of Business building, broke ground in July 2015. The Construction Manager, Agostini Construction, has driven the schedule to get the steel up in early Fall. This milestone caps a 16 month effort from Compass Project Manager, Jeff D'Amico, to lineup the project for occupancy in the Fall of 2016. The addition, designed by Bruner Cott & Associates, includes 5 classrooms, an auditorium, trading room, two-story atrium lounge/lobby, a computer lab and many smaller spaces for graduate students, undergraduates and faculty. This is an important project for UMASS Dartmouth as it will give the Charlton College of Business its own dedicated building to attract more students. Dean A. "Guna" Gunasekaran, Ph.D. said that the Charlton College of Business makes up 28% of the student population at UMASS Dartmouth.
