Boston University Center for Integrated Life Sciences & Engineering - Project UpdateCategory: Company Updates
Boston University’s Center for Integrated Life Sciences & Engineering is approximately 60% completed overall with the exterior façade roughly 70% complete. The FibreC panels and fins, which are the exterior skin of the building, are made of an ultra-light weight concrete giving the building a unique look from all angles.
The panels are a part of a rain screen system at the south and east elevations where the fins are a part of the unitized system at the north and west elevations. The panels and fins were molded in Germany and shipped to the installers shop where brackets are attached. The project is on track for a completion date in early 2017.
